Postoje k sexuálnímu chování
v různých etnokulturních skupinách
a jejich vztah k procesu akulturace

| Cílem studie bylo zjistit u různých menšinových etnokulturních skupin vztah postojů
k sexuálnímu chování k procesu akulturace. Soubor sestával ze 182 heterosexuálních lidí, kteří byli Hispánci, Afričané nebo Afro-Američané a Asijci. Všichni vyplnili on-line dotazník, který zahrnoval škálu postojů k sexuálnímu chování a údaje o akulturaci. U skupiny Afričanů a Afro-Američanů výsledky ukázaly, že akulturační preference (preference uchovat si identitu) v nejsoukromějších oblastech předpokládané rozšířeným modelem relativní akulturace (RAEM) mají negativní vztah k postojům k sexuálnímu chování. Výsledky také ukázaly, že akulturační ukazatele v sexuální oblasti se přímo vztahují k postojům k sexuálnímu chování a zmírňují vztah mezi pohlavím a těmito
postoji u různých skupin. U skupin Hispánců a Afričanů nebo Afro-Američanů mají preference uchovat si sexuální zvyky jejich domácí kultury (původní kultura) negativní vztah k postojům k sexuálnímu chování. U skupiny Asijců má uchování sexuálních zvyků negativní vztah k postojům k sexuálnímu chování. U skupiny Afričanů nebo Afro-Američanů pohlaví také zmírňuje vztah mezi procesem akulturace a postoji k sexuálnímu chování. Závěrem je, že při analýze postojů k sexuálnímu chování je důležité brát v úvahu proces akulturace.

| Attitudes toward sexual behaviours in different ethnocultural groups and their
relationship with the acculturation process |
The aim of the study was to relate the attitudes toward sexual behaviors of different minority
ethnocultural groups to the acculturation process. The final sample consisted of 182 heterosexual
people who were identified as Latin/Hispanic, African or African American, and Asian. The sample completed an online questionnaire that included the Attitudes toward Sexual Behaviors Scale and indicators of acculturation. In the African or African American group, the results showed that acculturation preferences
(preferences to maintain) in the most private areas proposed by the relative acculturation extended
model (RAEM) are negatively related to the attitudes toward sexual behaviors. The results also showed that the acculturation indicators in the sexual area are directly related to the attitudes toward sexual behaviors and moderate the relation between gender and those attitudes in the different groups. In the Latin/Hispanic
and African or African American groups, preferences to maintain the sexual customs of their home culture (culture of origin) are negatively related to the attitudes toward sexual behaviors. In the Asian group, the maintenance of the sexual customs is negatively related to the attitudes toward sexual behaviors. In the African or African American group, the gender also moderates the relation between the acculturation process
and the attitudes toward sexual behaviors. In conclusion, it is important to consider the acculturation
process when the attitudes toward sexual behaviors are analysed.
